The purpose of this study is to learn more about the use of an investigational drug, called D-lysergic acid diethylamide [LSD] D-tartrate, for the treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder. We want to determine if D-lysergic acid diethylamide [LSD] D-tartrate can help to improve the symptoms of people with Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Description
Eligibility Criteria
Male or female between the ages of 18 and 74 years old; Meets criteria for moderate or severe Generalized Anxiety Disorder; Has a body mass index (BMI) of 18-38kg
Intervention
A single dose will be administered at the beginning of the 12-week randomized treatment period while a maximum of 4 doses can be administered during the 40-week Open Label Extension.
Duration
Study is 12 weeks with 9 number of visits. Option to participate in a 40-week trial if criteria is met. The total study duration will be approximately 56-weeks.
