ABOUT DR. VENGHAUS

Dr. Lisa Venghaus, with a PhD from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX, boasts over 13 years of experience in clinical and research fields, specializing in pediatric and adult populations. She excels in working with children, adolescents, and families across diverse settings including in-homes, schools, and clinics. Dr. Venghaus is well-versed in the intricacies of the school system and special education needs.

Having completed her clinical doctoral internship at UT Physicians and DePelchin’s Children Center in Houston, TX, Dr. Venghaus is adept at conducting assessments and therapies for diagnostic purposes, symptom severity, and safety monitoring. She has served as a Principal Investigator for clinical trials and undergone additional training through Massachusetts General Hospital Research Institute, WPS, and PAR.

Her expertise spans a wide range of diagnoses including anxiety-related disorders, mood disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, trauma-related disorders, schizophrenia and associated disorders, as well as alcohol and substance use disorders. Dr. Venghaus is capable of determining diagnoses on-site, and prior diagnosis is not required for most studies. For Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) studies, she performs ADOS-2 and ADR-I assessments as per study protocols, and can provide a diagnosis letter upon request.

Outside her professional pursuits, Dr. Venghaus enjoys spending time outdoors, engaging in crafting/decorating, and cherishing moments with her family.
